Mr M.E. Visser, LL M. (Marrie) graduated in 2000 from Rotterdam Erasmus University in both civil and private law. Marrie studied, in addition, fiscal law for 4 years. During her studies, she went for a semester to Copenhagen to study, and was a member of staff at the Rechtswinkel (Legal Advice Centre) in Dordrecht.

After graduating, Marrie was employed by Zwartbol and she specialises in family law and employment law. Marrie advises, conducts proceedings and mediates in all these areas and related matters.

Marrie's practice is varied. She assists private clients and entrepreneurs with various issues relating to family law and employment law.

With regard to family law, it concerns issues such as divorce, including property law settlements, asset allocation of various joint ownerships, including estates, visitation and authority issues and alimony matters. She has a particular interest in alimony calculations which overlap corporate life. Hence, she specialises in severance matters involving entrepreneurs.

With regard to employment law, Marrie provides advice, conducts proceedings and mediates in the broadest sense. Particularly employment law, including dismissal cases, contracts and non- competition clauses have her attention.

Marrie is a member of vFAS, the Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators. She completed both the specialised family law course and the course to be a mediator, within this association. Marrie is also a NMI-mediator. (Divorce) mediation is a substantial part of her daily practice. By applying certain methods and techniques, parties are assisted in achieving a sustainable solution for both parties.

Besides conducting her practice, Marrie led several courses and gave several lectures with regard to, for example, prenuptial agreements and alimony calculation, with an emphasis on fiscal issues. In addition Marrie is member of the d’Egelantier Alblasserwaard Lions club where she has held several Board positions. In her spare time, Marrie is, amongst other things, a coach at the Sliedrecht swimming club "Door Water Fit".
